And with our digital imaging system, we can even help you visualize
your new smile ahead of time. Cosmetic services include:
- All-porcelain inlays, onlays and crowns

- Porcelain veneers for front teeth to fill in
gaps and enhance color
- Full-mouth rehab—affixing crowns to upper, lower
or all teeth to balance and correct the patient’s bite
Patient
Comfort and Involvement
There's a lot to be said for today's advanced dental technology.
For example, our intra-oral camera not only allows us to take
a “visual tour” of your mouth, but also enables us to magnify,
diagnose and discuss concerns in real time, right at your chairside.
For the overly anxious patient, professionally monitored sleep
sedation is available. We want you to be fully informed about
your treatment—and fully at ease in our office. Bobcat Dental
has:
- Intra-oral cameras in each room
- Digital X-ray system
- Computers chairside
- In-depth patient education
- Personal headphones/CD players
- Massage chairs for your comfort
- Nitrous oxide (laughing gas)/monitored sleep
sedation

Dental
Services Q&A
What are all the computer screens
in the exam rooms for?
Not only does today’s technology allow dentists and hygienists
to work more effectively and efficiently—it also gives you, the
patient, a front-row seat to every appointment. Bobcat Dental
has computers in all patient rooms, along with an extra monitor
on the left side of each dental chair for patients to see. Having
dental X-rays? They’ll show up instantly on the monitors. Forgetting
to floss? Your hygienist can use an intra-oral camera to show
you the trouble spots. Gone are the days of handing patients
a mirror and trying to show them what’s going on with their teeth!
Now, a quick glance at the monitor reveals it all.
What’s the difference between digital
X-rays and the traditional kind?
Since there’s no film to develop with digital X-ray technology,
we’re able to view images instantly and manipulate contrast,
brightness and size to get a better look at every detail. Not
only are we able to catch tooth decay earlier with digital X-rays,
but we’re able to do it more efficiently and with less radiation
exposure to the patient.
Once I have cosmetic work done, what
special care do I need to take?
If you’ve had a cosmetic treatment, especially on the front teeth,
we do recommend wearing a night guard to help prevent nighttime
clenching or grinding. We also encourage brushing and flossing
as recommended and using oral rinses that contain fluoride.
What are the pros and cons of teeth
whitening?
The pros are evident from the moment our patients see the results—they
tend to smile more often, and more confidently. While there are
few cons, some people can have a sensitivity to the whitening
process. We have a desensitizing gel that we can dispense if
needed.
How does in-office whitening compare
with take-home whitening?
In-office whitening takes an hour and a half and offers visible
results the same day. It’s a pricier option than take-home whitening,
but the cost of the procedure includes the office visit, custom
trays and whitening gel for boosting your whitening results.
Take-home whitening generally takes from 8 to
10 days but is more affordable than in-office whitening. With
this option, patients use custom-made trays and special 35 percent
whitening gel for 30 minutes each day until their smile reaches
the desired level of brightness.
Can I get a custom mouth guard like
the ones I’ve seen at Celina High School?
Absolutely! We can make a custom mouth guard for any patient
who plays contact sports, rides off-road bicycles and motocross,
or participates in other activities that could put your smile
at risk. Each mouth guard is custom made in our office using
a highly specialized machine to ensure a perfect fit.
